40 Pounds Down After a History of Weight Issues, Yo Yo Dieting, and Frustration

 

 

 

 

 

 

How’s it going ladies and gents! Today we are excited to share our client and friend, Monique Gengaro’s 36 week Dieting journey. Monique came to us in need of structure, guidance, and wanting to change her habits and lifestyle.

We knew that Monique wanted this change so bad from the minute we spoke with her on an initial phone consultation before she started. Monique was relentless throughout her 36 weeks of dieting and lost 41 total pounds and added muscle! What we really respect most about Monique’s journey was she never once complained, was open minded to learning, and she never quit. Monique embraced her journey and knew that it wasn’t going to be a linear road. When she fell off track, she got back up and moved forward and put it behind her. We are so proud of Monique for her 36 week journey and success! This is only the beginning for Monique.

We like to show these stats because too often we see misleading information about weight loss success stories. The moral of Monique’s story is she lost a significant amount of body fat, gained some lean body mass, and never had to deprive herself from foods she enjoyed.  She accomplished her goals without making her life miserable and enjoyed the ups and downs of her journey.

Monique is currently in a calorie building phase and will diet down again early next year. Monique is feeling stronger, more energetic, eating more, and having better relationships with food, building muscle mass, enjoying life, and doing things the right way so that when it comes time to diet again she won’t have to diet as long and as hard.

We’re extremely proud of Monique and it’s been an honor coaching her and being a part of her journey.

I have always had a weight problem and as I got older, it only got worse. I have tried many diets, some worked but I always managed to put the weight back on, my weight was like a roller coaster always up and down, I was sick of  yo-yo dieting which made me realize it’s not healthy, and I  need to find something that I can stick to without so many restrictions.

My sister was recommended to DDT, her coach is Chris. I saw results on her immediately; I was amazed at all the food she was eating, with no restrictions. It made me realize I was starving myself doing things my way, so, it was a no brainer, and I signed up with DDT, Eric is my coach.

I’ve been working with Eric the past 9 months and lost 41 lb. to date. I feel great and found a plan that works for me, something I can stick to without any restrictions. I still have a long way to go, but as of right now I could not be happier with my results.

Eric is a great coach, during my 9 months I had a few bad days. When I would check -in, Eric never made me feel like a failure or I did something wrong, he is always supportive and would reassure me that it was ok to have a bad day, that nobody is perfect. I still have a long way to go complete my goal, but I know with his knowledge and his support I will reach my goal.
