How’s it going ladies and gents! Today we are excited to share a supporter and friend’s journey to getting lean. Priscilla Martinez has been a long time DDT supporter and she has benefited greatly from all of the free content we have given out through social media and our blog. It’s amazing and gratifying to see someone take advantage of the training and nutrition tips we give and to see it work and help change their lives. If there’s one thing we stand by when we give out tips or post some kind of content we ask ourselves before hitting that submit button “are we making the world a better place today?” Great job Priscilla and cheers to more success on your fitness journey!

My journey isn’t as grand as many of my fellow Train Loco members whom I give tremendous props to! But, it has been a journey none the less and it has been MY journey. I have always been pretty athletic. I played soccer, volleyball, basketball, cross country, and even did powerlifting between the ages of 12 and 18.
Between the ages of 18 and 21 I hit a lot of cardio. Yes, I was petite, but I wouldn’t say that I had shape or a physique. I surely didn’t have any booty! After I started following Dynamic Duo and incorporating their training into my lifestyle, I started to actually make progress and see the results that I wanted.
I shortly learned that weight training develops your muscles, not cardio. I was doing it all wrong. My diet was terrible. I went from eating three pretty big meals a day to eating 4-5 evenly balanced meals, every 4-5 hours. DDT nutrition tips were and are truly the best.
I used to hit abs every day for like 30 minutes! Boy did my abs hurt, but little did I know that it isn’t ab workouts that get you that sexy and defined six pack; it’s all about diet when it comes to that.
I also started warming up with glute workouts as DDT states that glutes are a fundamental balance of our bodies. It was a lot to take in at first. I thought I had it all figured out. It seemed like I had to do so much to get where I wanted to be or aspired to be. But then again, if it was easy, everyone would be doing it right? What’s gain without pain? You appreciate things more when you’ve worked hard for it, not when you pay for it or it’s given.
DDT not only helped me in getting on track with my diet and workouts by following their nutrition and workout tips, but the daily support they give to us beats any trainers I have seen. It truly is more amazing and encouraging to know you have two awesome, and not to mention good looking, trainers in your corner that are literally only a phone call or message away; trainers that encourage small progress and large progress.
Since DDT has been in my corner, I have developed power and strength making me a better athlete and shaping my body into one that I am truly proud of. My glutes, quads, arms, and abs are far more defined. I can’t say that I’ve lost 30 pounds, 40 pounds, etc.
I am also thankful that I haven’t needed to either. However, I can say that toning my body has been as difficult for me as it is for someone losing 30 plus pounds. I have worked just as hard if not harder. It takes a lot of dedication for either and with DDT’s support and guidance it has been that much more worth it. I am a work in progress, but its one day at a time with dedication and the drive to be better than only the person I was yesterday. My journey continues with following DDT’s nutrition tips, workout tips, and daily tips. Team Train Loca!
