More Food, Less Cardio! Anthony’s Success Story
Hey there ladies and gentleman! I am excited to share my client and friend, Anthony Morris’s fat loss story with you. Anthony came to us 5 months ago and he was stuck in a major rut. His nutrition looked like this:
- Switching from Intermitent fasting, Keto, Yo-Yo dieting, Paleo, etc.
- Restricting foods
- Not eating late at night
- Skipping his pre/post workout meals
- No meal structuring or spacing strategy in place
His mind wasn’t in the game, he was frustrated, and his training and cardio routine looked like this:
- Couple days out of the week doing weight training
- Cardio first thing when he got to the gym for 45 minutes
- No structure within his training program
- Wasn’t having fun
If there was one word to sum up Anthony’s current fitness program it would be “Lost.”
So, Anthony told me how much weight he ideally wanted to lose and how this would give him more confidence, showed me pictures of how lean he wanted to be, how many days/hours per week he could train, and then I dug deep into his current nutrition. 12 weeks later the “Lost” Anthony, found the new and improved Anthony and then some! He was training on a non-linear periodized training protocol, he was doing only 2 days of low intensity cardio, he incorporated flexible dieting, and he absolutely flourished with everything!
After 12 weeks:
- He lost 15 lbs
- He lost 6 inches off his waist
- He kept the majority of his strength
- He actually increased some muscle mass
- He never had to restrict the foods he liked
It has been an honor coaching Anthony and I am extremely proud of him and being part of his journey.
Here’s what Anthony had to say:
I began working with Coach Eric for my 3-month nutrition and training program in February, in hopes of getting in shape to look better, feel better, and increase my confidence. From my first discussion with Coach Eric, I knew I had made the right choice. So much time and effort went into getting to know me, my preferences, my goals and creating a program that was individualized for me. I have never had a good relationship with food, or my body, and Coach Eric helped me put everything in perspective and learn that progress is progress no matter how small or how large. He also taught me that I have the ability to make choices in food and training, and that missing one day or miscounting a macro is not the end of the world. I can confidently say that I am an entirely different person, not only physically, but mentally, after working with Coach Eric.
I felt as though I had not only a coach but a friend. I learned so much in 12 weeks about nutrition, counting macros, and training and I feel as though I can move forward with confidence knowing that I can transform my body even more if I put in the time and effort. The way Eric broke down his philosophy on the new era of fitness and to not ever look at fitness as black and white was genius! Mindset, Personal Development, and making it a realistic, enjoyable, and flexible lifestyle was huge!
