Ground Turkey Meatballs

 

If you are looking for a lean protein source to add to your dish, then be sure to try ground turkey breast. Ground turkey breast is an excellent source of lean protein and is very low in fat. This makes for a perfect pre or post workout meal along with a complex carbohydrate such as rice, potatoes, pasta, etc. Make sure when you go to your local butcher, you ask for the leanest ground turkey breast. If they don’t have it, then look for the packaged Jennie-O extra lean ground turkey. Enjoy!

 

Ingredients:

Ground turkey breast (leanest cut)

Oatmeal

Egg

Sea salt

Annie’s organic honey mustard

Pepper

Onion

Garlic powder

Basil

Add in whatever other spices that you like

 

How to prepare it:

-Example below is for 1 pound of ground turkey-

1. Large mixing bowl

2. Put ground turkey in

3. Add in ½ cup of oatmeal

4. Grade half of an onion

5. Add in egg

6. Add in 2 Tbsp of honey mustard

7. Add in pepper, garlic powder & basil

8. Stir, mix and roll up into meatballs!

9. Put in oven for 20-30 minutes on 400 degrees

10. Enjoy!
